Project Phases

• 2005 - magnet test/cosmic test
• Kaori Maeshima is working on this ROC
• Prototype must manage expectations
• 2006 - Installation / commissioning / integration
  / test beam
• Activity in lots of different locations at CERN
• 2007 - first beam first collisions
• Pixels will not yet be installed
• 2008 - physics running - full detector

First contact

• What is this? Isnt it just for PR?
• I will just buy a plane ticket. Couldnt you
  just make that process easier.
• If I am commissioning my detector, I will be at
  CERN.
• I just need my laptop to do monitoring.
• No controls capability should be allowed. No one
  will have permission to change HV remotely -
  except me of course.

Requirements / scenarios

• We need to know more about the plans for
  commissioning from each detector group.
• Monitoring
• Control
• Communications (Phone, video)
• which locations at CERN.
• VOIP, VRVS or more
• We will need a more complete list of names for
  contact people to contribute scenarios from all
  parts of the detector. Which systems are a
  priority?
• We need to find a few scenarios that will involve
  more than a single user and a laptop.
