Test-version of virtual database

• The aim is to develop WEB-based info-source - the
  INNOMET database test-version as publicly used
  Internet site targeted to the vocational and
  education institutions and companies in the
  sector.
• Target groups
• Professors, trainers, teachers
• Students, researchers
• Companies (personnel managers)
• Industry associations and other support
  organisations

INNOMET system for what purpose?

• possibilities to learn/ training programmes
  links to programmes in all different levels
  (vocational schools, universities, re-training,
  adult training, e-learning platforms, etc)
• To have up-dated and dynamic overview of
  qualifications demanded, human competence system
  of companies
• Virtual labour market of the sector - available
  positions in companies (job positions, trainees,
  academic research, apprenticeships)
• Links to national qualifications awards systems

INNOMET system - value added for companies ?

• Problem for companies - lack of qualified
  personnel
• if companies move to long-term business planning
  they need long term planning human resource
  development.

• cheaper access to job market information - more
  efficient medium to find new employees (jobs,
  traineeship programmes)
• academic and practical cooperation with higher
  education institutions
• INNOMET as a tool to plan personnel management in
  long term
• Easier and more transparent possibility to
  evaluate and give suggestions on existing
  educational programmes in all different levels of
  education.
• In longer term the INNOMET system helps to
  improve the competitiveness of companies.

institutions ?

• Vocational Education (VE) and Higher Education
  (HE) Institutions
• Problem for vocational education and higher
  education institutions lack of feedback
  mechanism from business sector, no systematic
  information to be responsive to market needs

• Added Value for VE and HE Institutions
• Better interaction with companies,
• improvement of curriculum and education in
  general.
• It will result also in better decision-making
  inside education institutions, better social
  dialogue with public decision-making bodies

Steering committee

• Some of the steering committees meetings can be
  organised via video-conference as well.
• Steering committee consists of the project
  manager and one representative from each partner
  organisation
