    development of specific sectors of the creative
    industries with particular reference to
    developments in technologies, products, services
    and markets
  • to provide learning and development opportunities
    for practitioners and small companies

Review of the past 12 months
Activities
  • Established 1 new network (Fine Art) to add to
    the 3 new networks created thru WF funds
    (Designplus, PIN and MusicOrbit) adding to
    existing networks NMK and MusicTank
  • 50 events (incl major industry conferences,
    practitioner workshops, showcases for new product
    and new companies, screenings and industry
    seminars)
  • 1500 SMEs/practitioners attending
  • 3000 total attendees
  • c. 3000 practitioners/companies join WF creative
    networks
  • 3 strategic development projects (TextileFocus
    unReal iTV)
  • 5 start up companies, 1 KTP, 3 industry
    collaborative projects
  • 32k income in first 3 quarters

  • Industry/business relevance grounding new
    networks in their respective industries (design
    and theatre)
  • WestFocus profile contribution to the brand and
    concept (within creative industries)
  • Direct economic benefit responding to industry
    and practitioner needs networking gets new

    of key players in the sectors concerned
  • Recruiting significant numbers of businesses and
    practitioners, incl alumni, into networks
