• Tragically, Christian people who do not know
  what the Bible teaches too often employ harsh
  rhetoric and engage in nasty culture wars in a
  way that repels those who most need to hear our
  message. They will never listen if they think we
  hate them.

• 15So be careful how you live, not as fools but
  as those who are wise. 16Make the most of every
  opportunity for doing good in these evil days.
  17Dont act thoughtlessly, but try to understand
  what the Lord wants you to do. 18Dont be drunk
  with wine, because that will ruin your life.
  Instead, let the Holy Spirit fill and control

• Lord, I want to do good at every opportunity
  today, and I want to give you the credit when
  its appropriate to do so.

• Your welcome. I just thank the Lord I was able
  to help.

• Would you mind if we pray about that right
  now?
• God has blessed me so much, I just have to pass

Adverse Circumstances

• We bless those who curse us. We are patient with
  those who abuse us. 13We respond gently when evil
  things are said about us. 1 Cor. 412b, 13 NLT

• When your deeds are not appreciated.
• When the person doesnt deserve your kindness.
• When you know your deed will never be
  reciprocated.
• When your kindness is rejected.
• When your kindness is simply taken for granted,
  expected.

Think, and do what God wants!

• Anticipate situations and conversations.
• Analyze your environment.
• Adjust your tactics.
• Avoid embarrassing moments.

Let the Spirit control you

• If the fruit of the Spiritlove, joy, peace,
  patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
  gentleness, and self-controldoes not get modeled
  to the world at large, then why should we be
  surprised if the world sees Christians as
  unloving, joyless, impatient, and unkind people?
