What is flooding

• An unpredicted, unexpected flood that occurs when
  rain falls enter a larger body of water.

How to prevent flooding

• Go to higher areas if a flood happens, or build a
  dam.

What kinds of floods are there?

• Coastal flooding-hurricanes and storms make heavy
  rains or make ocean water come on land.
• River flood-river flooding naturally occurs. It
  happens when winter snow melts and spring water
  mixes.
• Flash floods-It is the quickest flood.

• Rivers flood causing them to go over there flood
  plains. When it rains in dry areas it caves over
  the sand in a matter of minutes.
