14Temperature Control Problems
Major Temperature control Alarms for 8A1. In
the morning of August 2, Major Alarm persisted on
heater voltage in module 1 of cassette to which
board 8A1 is attached CFTA_AFE_8A1/TCOV1. I
removed it by clicking first temperature control
off and next temperature control on in AFE_8A1
menu, this menu is available from
cft_gui-gtdetails(VRBCR_50)-gtAFE_8A1. However I
think that 8A1 developed temperature control
problem and it may again cause Major Alarm. You
might like to call expert or/and me when that
will happen. I see two ways of dealing with
persistent temperature control Major Alarms for
this board. First you may repeat what I did. You
will have several Major Temperature control
Alarms after clicking temperature control off but
they should disappear in a few minutes after you
clicked temperature control on. If that fails you
may set temperature control in this board to
manual by clicking temperature control manual .
In this mode heater voltages are set to constant
values. The voltages are taken from database,
they are available by right clicking on AFE_8A1
menu. tcov1 is voltage for heater for module 1.
The heater voltages may need adjustment. To see
in which direction they should be changed you
need plot cryo for VRBCR_50 and store new values
in database. For new voltages to take effect you
need click again temperature control manual.
