GOLGI COMPLEX
The picture in the caption is of a golgi complex.
The dark lines are the actual complex itself. It
consist of about six flat disk that are about one
micrometer in diameter. The circular objects
around the complex are things that are being
packaged to be sent out of the cell. The objects
consist of enzymatic or hormonal contents of
lysosomes, peroxisomes and secretory vesicles.

• The Golgi Complex is found in eukaryotic cells.
  The function of the Golgi Complex is to modify,
  sort, and package macromolecules for cell
  secretion or for use within the cell. It mainly
  modifies proteins from the rough endoplasmic
  reticulum, but it is also involved in the
  transportation of lipids around the cell, and the
  creation of lysosome. The cell consist of
  flattened, membrane bound sacs known cisternae.
  It usually consists of about five to eight of
  these sacs. Around the membrane bound sacs are
  spherical vesicles which have budded off from the
  membrane bound sacs themselves.
