Background

• MHO were formed in 1981 as a non-charitable
  registered housing association to provide low
  cost home ownership
• Now a separate business unit within the
  (charitable) MHT Group offering low cost home
  ownership and sub-market rent to the intermediate
  market
• Helped over 10,000 customers on to the property
  ladder in London, the Home Counties and the East
  Midlands, 3600 properties currently in management

What is a Zone Agent?

• Marketing zones plan developed by the HC and
  ODPM in October 2003
• promotes all forms of key worker housing in the
  zone
• point of contact for stakeholders to ensure
  efficient and effective funding allocation
• point of contact for all key worker enquiries
• gatekeeper for other RSLs in the zone
• Delivery of allocation products

  recruitment and retention in Londons essential
  services by helping Londons key workers into

• Who qualifies for intermediate rent
• applicants eligible for KWL home ownership
• applicants in eligible job roles but on temporary
  6 month contracts and/ or those without
  indefinite leave to remain
• trainee probation officers
