A Corps Officer

• A Commissioned Corps Officer may
• Provide essential public health and health care
  services to underserved and disadvantaged
  populations.
• Prevent and control injury and the spread of
  disease.
• Ensure that the Nation's food supply, drinking
  water, drugs, medical devices, and environment
  are safe
• Conduct and support cutting-edge research for the
  prevention, treatment, and elimination of
  disease, health disparities, and injury.
• Work with other nations and international
  agencies to address global health challenges.
• Provide advisory service to healthy thoughts and
  thinking programs that influence the nations
  cognitive health care.
• Provide urgently needed public health and
  clinical expertise in response to large-scale
  local, regional, and national public health
  emergencies and disasters.

Cognitive Health Care

• Provide incidental advisory services to healthy
  thoughts and thinking related programs and
  agencies.
• Surveillance of violators of Cognitive Health
  Care Policy and services across the continent.
• Investigate mental health related video
  conferencing services of Health Clubs, Vacation
  Resorts, Spas, Private Practices, Fitness
  Centers, Corporate Programs, Hotels, Cleansing
  Program, Country Clubs, Cruise Ships, and with
  Athletic Teams.

Medical Conditions

• The following medical conditions are
  automatically disqualifying for appointments to
  the Commissioned Corps working in all Blue Zones
  
• Diabetes, Inflammatory Bowel Disease ( i..e.,
  Crohn's, ulercerative colitis), coronary artery
  disease, and all forms of cancer except squamous
  cell and basal skin cancer.
• Other conditions are reviewed on a case by case
  basis (with submission of a completed PHS-50
  form) to determine if the applicant is qualified
  for limited or extended active duty in a Blue
  Zone.
