One Linux box, Lamina, is changed from a
workstation to a headless server. The SGI machine
is moved to where Lamina lives now. Either one of
the dual machine system that Veronica is using
currently or the Windows box Ligament is moved to
the current SGI location. By removing one Linux
box from this wall and moving the SGI machine, we
create 3 new larger workareas (see next slide).

Enlarged work areas are indicated in red. Note,
it has been brought to my attention that one of
the 2 Linux boxes on the right (Andrews
workstation) will eventually be removed from that
area, but there will be a new box specifically
for Brain J3D that may be placed to the right of
the machine currently marked Dual. This new
machine can be placed there, for now, but will
eventually replace the SGI machine. There has
also been some interest expressed in reserving
the space marked Dual for Brain Project
personnel. This spot is not currently spoken for
and could be utilized by Veronica or other future
Brain Project people. But, it should accommodate
a regular workstation for a full time
employee/student. This would be better use of
that space than the current, occasional use, SGI
machine.
