  • Psalm 37 1-6
  •  1 Do not fret because of evil men        or be
    envious of those who do wrong
  •  2 for like the grass they will soon wither,
           like green plants they will soon die
    away.
  •  3 Trust in the LORD and do good        dwell
    in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
  •  4 Delight yourself in the LORD        and he
    will give you the desires of your heart.
  •  5 Commit your way to the LORD        trust in
    him and he will do this
  •  6 He will make your righteousness shine like
    the dawn,        the justice of your cause like
    the noonday sun.
  • This psalm is an acrostic poem, the stanzas of
    which begin with the successive letters of the
    Hebrew alphabet.

A matter of attitude
  • 1 Do not fret because of evil men        or be
    envious of those who do wrong
  • 3 Trust in the LORD and do good
  • 5 Commit your way to the LORD        trust in
    him and he will do this
  • 4 Delight yourself in the LORD        and he
    will give you the desires of your heart.
  • Having the right attitude in times of trouble.

Who do you serve?
  • 6 He will make your righteousness shine like the
    dawn,        the justice of your cause like the
    noonday sun.

           than the wealth of many wicked
  • Make sure you have a righteous cause
  • The choice who do you serve?

  • "No servant can serve two masters. Either he will
    hate the one and love the other, or he will be
    devoted to the one and despise the other. You
    cannot serve both God and Money.

Not the right question!
  • What in the worldis going to happen with us?!
  • This is not the right question!
  • The effects of a recession or even a depression
    is perhaps painful for our purse, but it is
    disastrous for the poor and the suffering of this
    world.
  • What will happen to them!
  • Greed is the selfish desire for or pursuit of
    money, wealth, power, food, or other possessions,
    especially when this denies the same goods to
    others.

The greed game

Contentment

Are we keeping our lives free?

    be content with what
  • you have, because God has said, "Never will I
    leave you never will I
  • forsake you.
  • Be content with what you have.
