Brief History
  • The library was built in memory of the late Mr
    Hon Sui Sen, former Minister for Finance of
    Singapore (1970-1983) and Member of Parliament
    for the Havelock Constituency (1970-1983)
  • Hon Sui Sen Memorial Library started its
    operations on 15th June 1987 and was officially
    declared open by on 15 January 1988

Hon Sui Sen Room
  • Hon Sui Sen Room houses memorabilia of Mr Hon
    contributed by his family and the Ministry of
    Finance.
  • The desk and armchair in the Room were those used
    Mr Hon when he was at the Ministry of Finance. A
    copy of his Singapore Government Directory is
    kept at his desk.
  • Some of the items in the cabinet include Mr Hon's
    Rubik Cube along with notes on how to solve it.
