• Appears 101 times in the New Testament.
• 7 times The Gospel of God.
• 10 times The Gospel of Christ.
• These phrases indicate a certain kind of gospel
  or good news.

• These reasons are comprehensive.
• Tell us why a person should desire to be a
  Christian.
• We pray that they will motivate you to become a
  Christian today.

• JESUS IS SAVIOR OF THE WORLD.

JESUS IS SAVIOR OF THE WORLD.

• "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take
  to you Mary your wife, for that which is
  conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she
  will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His
  name JESUS, for He will save His people from
  their sins. (Matthew 120-21).
• And behold, you will conceive in your womb and
  bring forth a Son, and shall call His name
  JESUS. (Luke 131).

JESUS IS SAVIOR OF THE WORLD

• Why do we need Savior?
• We cant save ourselves.
• What does Jesus save us from?
• Not physical poverty.
• Not physical illness.
• By His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 535).
• Not physical healing.

• for all have sinned and fall short of the glory
  of God... (Romans 323).
• Therefore, just as through one man sin entered
  the world, and death through sin, and thus death
  spread to all men, because all sinned... (Romans
  512).

• but of the tree of the knowledge of good and
  evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you
  eat of it you shall surely die" (Genesis 217).
• Died spiritually separated from Gods
  fellowship.
• Gods plan included a way for us to come back to
  Him.
• Sent His Son to be the Savior of the world.

JESUS IS SAVIOR OF THE WORLD

• 2 Corinthians 517-19 - Therefore, if anyone is
  in Christ, he is a new creation old things have
  passed away behold, all things have become new.
  Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us
  to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us
  the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God
  was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself,
  not imputing their trespasses to them, and has
  committed to us the word of reconciliation

• I am the way, the truth and the life. No one
  come to the Father except through Me. (John
  146).
• No other way to come to God.
• God built into His plan of creation His
  redemption plan.
• All who come to the Father through Jesus can be
  reconciled to God.

• Nor is there salvation in any other, for there
  is no other name under heaven given among men by
  which we must be saved." (Acts 412).
• We are lost separated from God.
• We can be reconciled to God.
• We can be saved through Jesus Christ!
• There is no other such good news as this!
• IN CHRIST JESUS WE HAVE SALVATION!

• Jesus saw GREED
• Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one's
  life does not consist in the abundance of the
  things he possesses. (Luke 1215).

GIVES US HOPE AFTER THIS LIFE

• 1 Corinthians 151-4 - Moreover, brethren, I
  declare to you the gospel which I preached to
  you, which also you received and in which you
  stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold
  fast that word which I preached to you unless
  you believed in vain. For I delivered to you
  first of all that which I also received that
  Christ died for our sins according to the
  Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He
  rose again the third day according to the
  Scriptures,

GIVES US HOPE AFTER THIS LIFE

• 1 Corinthians 155-8 - and that He was seen by
  Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was
  seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of
  whom the greater part remain to the present, but
  some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen
  by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of
  all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of
  due time.

GIVES US HOPE AFTER THIS LIFE

• 1 Corinthians 1512-13 - Now if Christ is
  preached that He has been raised form the dead,
  how do some among you say that there is no
  resurrection of the dead? But if there is no
  resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not
  risen.

GIVES US HOPE AFTER THIS LIFE

• 1 Corinthians 1520, 22 - But now Christ is
  risen from the dead, and has become the
  firstfruits of those who have fallen asleepFor
  as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall
  be made alive.
• CHRIST ANSWERS THE QUESTION If a man dies,
  shall he live again?!
• YES! Christ died and He now lives!
• WE will live after death.

GIVES US HOPE AFTER THIS LIFE

• John 141-3 - Let not your heart be troubled
  you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My
  Father's house are many mansions if it were not
  so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a
  place for you. And if I go and prepare a place
  for you, I will come again and receive you to
  Myself that where I am, there you may be also.
• V. 19 - A little while longer and the world will
  see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I
  live, you will live also.

GIVES US HOPE AFTER THIS LIFE

• Acts 19-11 - Now when He had spoken these
  things, while they watched, He was taken up, and
  a cloud received Him out of their sight. And
  while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He
  went up, behold, two men stood by them in white
  apparel, who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do
  you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus,
  who was taken up from you into heaven, will so
  come in like manner as you saw Him go into
  heaven."

THE GOSPEL IS GOOD NEWS BECAUSE

• IT TELLS US THAT JESUS CHRIST IS OUR SAVIOR
• IT TELLS US THE BEST WAY TO LIVE.
• IT TELLS US THAT THERE IS HOPE OF LIFE AFTER
  DEATH.

WHY NOT OBEY THE GOSPEL TODAY?

• Gods plan of salvation
• Hear the gospel (Romans 1017).
• Believe the gospel (Mark 1616).
• Repent of sin (Acts 238).
• Confession of faith (Romans 109-10).
• Be baptized (Mark 1616 Acts 238).
• Live a faithful Christian life (Revelation 210).
• Repent, confess sin, pray (Acts 822 1 Jn. 19).
