Title: Gospel Tract Ministry

1
  • Tract Ministry
  • Who Can Be In this Ministry?

2
Anyone of Us or ALL of Us..Everyone of Us!!!
3
What Is A Tract?
  • A tract is a short, simple presentation of the
    gospel message,
  • printed in convenient pocket size, designed for
    easy distribution and use.

4
  • There is probably no easier, more convenient way
to share the Good News of Jesus Christ than
through the use of gospel tracts.

5
Many people have been led to Christ in this way.
6
  • 1. If one thousand people would each put out just
fifty tracts per week, in one year over 2.6
    million tracts would be distributed!
  • 2. If one person would be saved for every one
thousand tracts, 2600 souls would be won to
    Christ during that year!
  • 3. Just minutes per day per person is required to
    hand out this many tracts!
  • "As My Father hath sent Me, even so send I
    you."John 2021.

Did You Know That
7
  • Why Tracts Are Effective
  • Many people never go to church or read the Bible.
A tract may be the only clear presentation of the
    Gospel they will ever receive.
  • A tract can go anywhere inexpensively. You can
carry it in your pocket or purse, place it in a
rack, or send it through the mail.

8
  • A tract will reinforce your personal witness.
Even if you can't follow up, the reader can write
to the address on the back for further help.
  • Some people will not listen to you, but will
accept a tract. Many people have been saved
through reading (and rereading) a tract in
    privacy.

9
When you give a tract, you are representing the
Lord.
How To Use Tracts
10
Here are a few suggestions on how to witness for
Jesus Christ with tracts
11
Prayerfully.
  • Be Obedient to the love Christ and a develop a
genuine concern for those whom you will meet.
  • Pray that the Holy Spirit will, through the
tracts you give, open hearts and minds to the
    Gospel.

12
Practically.
  • Be sensitive to the needs and interests of those
around you, and be equipped to use tracts when it
    is appropriate.

13
Prospectively
  • . Tracts open the door to further witness.
  • But if you have an opportunity to share your
    faith,
  • Don't give a tract as an excuse to not witness.

14
Pleasantly
  • It costs so little to smile, but a smile goes so
    far.
  • If a person refuses a tract or wants to argue, be
    pleasant.
  • Don't argue.

15
Plentifully
  • . Tracts cost so little that you can afford to
    give them freely.
  • Certainly some people will throw them away.
People turn off the radio, yet we still broadcast
    the Gospel.
  • Be persistent, and trust the Lord to bring forth
    fruit.

16
Ways To Use Tracts
  • Mail tracts with letters, greeting cards and
bills. Send them to friends, shut-ins, and
    visitors to your church.
  • Give them to waitresses, and salespeople.
  • Carry them on vacation and whenever you travel.
Always have some in your pocket, purse, and glove
    compartment.

17
  • Keep tracts inside the entrance of your home to
    give to solicitors.
  • Place a tract rack in your church.

18
  • Place tract racks in hospitals, rest homes, bus
    stations, prisons, etc.
  • Give tracts to children in VBS and Sunday school
and on special days like Halloween, Valentine's
    Day and Christmas.
  • Go with teams from your church with tracts
door-to-door, to sports events, fairs, etc.

19
Why use tracts
  • Tracts can make an opening for us to share our
    faith.
  • We can watch people's reaction as we give them a
tract, and see if they are open to listen to
    spiritual things.
  • They can do the witnessing for us.
  • If we are too timid to speak to someone about the
things of God, we can at least give them a tract,
or leave it lying around so that someone will
    pick it up.

20
  • They speak to the person when they are
ready--i.e. they don't read it until they want
    to.
  • They can find their way into people's homes when
    we can't.
  • They don't get into argument. They just state
    their case.

21
  • There are tracts for every occasion, for every
need, and for every type of person.
  • Tracts can be distributed by anyone, regardless
of age, sex, race, or education.
  • Tracts provide an easy way to "break the ice" or
    "open the door" to witness.

22
  • Tracts can be passed along, and can therefore be
    used over and over again.
  • Tracts can be mass distributed easily.
  • Tracts are inexpensive and can be handed out
    liberally.

23
  • 1. Tracts can get inside homes and stay there.
    You can't.
  • 2. Tracts never lose their temper or become
    involved in arguments.

24
  • Dr. Oswald J. Smith said, "The only way to carry
out the Great Commission will be by the means of
    the printed page.
  • " Billy Graham said, "Nothing surpasses a tract
for sowing the seed of the Good News."

25
If you want people to accept your tract from you,
  • Don't say, "Would you like this?
  • They will probably say, "What is it?" and then
    you're in trouble.

26
Instead, say,
  • "Did you get one of these?"
  • That question has a two-fold effect.
  • You stir up curiosity and make them ask
  • "One of what?
  • That's when you pass it to them. That phrase
also makes them feel as though they are missing
out on something. And so they are.

27
Remember
28
  • There is probably no easier, more convenient way
to share the Good News of Jesus Christ than
through the use of gospel tracts.
