FINANCES
Following are samples of two documents we
developed to help our clients make financial
decisions. The 1st quantifies the value of an
existing house to help decide between
demolition and remodeling. The 2nd is a
pro-forma that allows consideration of financial
variables to create a building program that will
provide a positive cash flow.

COMMUNICATION
In our presentations, we discuss our methods
of communicating with building committees, the
members of which frequently do not live near
one another or near us.
108
CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS
Greek housing is unique. Fraternity houses
especially require damage resistant
materials. In our presentations, we discuss those
materials.
109
SCHEDULING
Scheduling of Greek housing projects is critical.
The consequences of completing construction
late are dire, but early completion frequently
requires loan payments with no house income. In
our presentations, we discuss project schedule
from initial programming to completion of
construction.
110
FUNDRAISING
In our presentations, we discuss the procedures
used for fundraising with or without a
professional fundraising company. We review how
our pro-forma estimates the target amount of
fundraising. We have worked with the major
fundraisers and discuss the material that each
expects from the architect. Deductibility of
donations is very important. We discuss the IRS
rules and how we design houses to maximize the
percentage of donations that can be deducted.
Following are samples of the fundraising
material we typically provide.

FLOOR PLANS
In our presentations, we review floor plans of
selected projects to describe the design
guidelines we use to create the most efficient,
safe and economical houses.
