• CHALLENGES AND SUGGESTIONS
• During the installation of the furniture at the
  Nespresso store, the team encountered some
  challenges, outlined below. The aim is to
  highlight these areas in order to implement
  corrective measures for future installations, as
  well as to help future installation partners
  anticipate and prepare for similar issues.
• Below is a detailed overview of the main points
• Product Gallery Unit (Large)
• The holes in the drawer unit, meant for the oak
  tubes, were misaligned, leading to assembly
  difficulties. This misalignment caused a ripple
  effect, impacting the shelves and other oak tube
  components.
• Suggestion Pre-installation or a careful mock-up
  at the factory could have helped identify and
  address these issues before arriving on-site.
• 2. Coffee as an Art Back Unit (Small)This
  unit was designed to fit into a niche. However,
  the height of the unit was exactly the same as
  the height of the niche, leaving no clearance.
  Ideally, the unit should have been at least 10mm
  shorter to fit properly.
• Plumbing points on the floor were not aligned
  with the points on the unit, which caused
  additional challenges during installation. The
  site supervisor should have double-checked these
  measurements before the installation.

• CHALLENGES AND SUGGESTIONS
• 3. Single Operational Sleeve Wall
• The cubes provided were too small for the slots,
  both in length and depth. As a result, extra
  "packing" with small wooden pieces was necessary
  for each of the 165 slots to ensure that the
  cubes fit snugly and could be screwed into place.
• Without this "packing," the cubes would not have
  been stable, risking the capsules falling out.
• Suggestion To avoid similar issues in the
  future, the sizes of the slots and cubes should
  be well aligned on the drawing
• paper.
• 4. Cash Desk
• The cash desk, weighing over 400 kg, arrived as a
  single piece, making it extremely difficult to
  move during installation. The team had to rely
  entirely on manual lifting to position the
  desk.Suggestion To avoid similar issues in the
  future, it would be beneficial to fully
  understand the local site conditions. If
  forklifts or other heavy-lifting equipment are
  not available, it would be prudent to design the
  cash desk in at least two modular parts.

• 5. Mismatched Packing List
• Some boxes did not match the packing list, which
  prolonged the installation process as the team
  had to locate and verify missing or incorrect
  items.
• 6. Unclean and Overcrowded Site
• The site was not adequately cleaned and was
  overcrowded, increasing the risk of furniture
  damage. Additionally, this created
  less-than-ideal working conditions for the
  installation team.
