What Is MBOX
MBOX is a file that is used to store email
messages in simple and plain format. It is used
by Mozilla thunderbird, Apple Mail, and other
email providers to store all the emails in one
file. But it does not support MS Outlook
therefore conversion is required.

What Is PST
PST refers to personnel storage table which are
used by Microsoft Outlook. In the pst file, we
can store all the data including mailboxes,
calendars, tasks, etc. The outlook doesnt
support MBOX so we need to convert it to PST
format before importing it to Microsoft outlook.

Convert MBOX to PST Using Manual Method

• Step-1 Ready Gmail account
• Go to Gmail
• Click on the settings icon , in the top right
  corner
• Click on See all settingsgt Forwarding and
  POP/IMAP, select Enable IMAP, and click on Save
  Changes.

• Step-2 Create app password for configuration
• Go to Account profilegt Manage your Google Account
• Go to the security sections and then go to the
  2-step verification option
• Scroll down and click on the app password option
• (In this scenario, the 2-factor
  authentication must be enabled)
• Enter the app name and click on create 
• A pop-up window appears with the app password,
  copy and save for further steps.

• Step-3 Connect Gmail to Thunderbird
• Open Mozilla thunderbird
• Go to settings left lower corner
• Go to account settings, click on account actions
  then select add mail account option
• Enter your name and your gmail credentials and
  select continue option
• Continue with imap
• A pop-up window will appear, verify your gmail
  account
• Click on finish

• Step-4 Now create a new folder under the
  Gmail-Thunderbird account
• Drag and drop your email in it.

• Step-5 Connect Gmail to Microsoft Outlook
• Open Microsoft Outlook 
• Go to filegtadd account
• Enter your email address and verify it with Gmail
  passwords or app passwords.
• Click on finish, and your Gmail account is synced
  with Microsoft Outlook.
