claimed to have come across a "gross
violation" of government's rules pertaining to
the operation of a Madrasa in Madhya Pradesh's
Sagar. The NCPCR alleged that one particular
Madrasa is being operated on a license obtained
for running a private school, adding this was
learned during an inspec- tion carried out by its
team on August 9. The inspection was carried out
with prior permission from the Madhya Pradesh
gov- ernment. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav-led BJP
government in Madhya Pradesh has ini- tiated an
inspection drive in Madrasas oper- ating across
the state. Omkar Singh, a member of NCPCR, who
headed the inspection drive, told reporter on
Thursday that the Madrasa was operating on the
license of a private school. "The permission was
granted to enroll students up to Class 8 but
students of 9th and 10th standards were found
enrolled in Madrasa. It wasn't an educational
institution but a religious institution where
children are being imparted Islam religious
learnings," Singh said. He further said that many
children enrolled in Madrasa were from other
states, whereas the government's guidelines do
not allow children from other states. "The
classes for students are being con- ducted only
for three hours, while the gov- ernment rules say
classes would be run for 6 hours a day. An

IMPORTANT ROLE OF GURU IN LIFE - CHIEF
MINISTER Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said
that Guru plays an impor- tant role in life. The
meaning of Guru is that which takes us from
darkness to light. Former President of India
Sarvepalli Dr. Radhakrishnan dedi- cated his
birthday to teachers. While wishing all the
teachers of the state on Teacher's Day, Chief
Minister Dr. Yadav said that teachers are
creating a better generation by discharging their
responsibilities efficiently. Chief Minister Dr.
Yadav, while addressing the Teachers' Day
function in Ujjain on Thursday, said that Goswami
Tulsidas worked to establish and honor Hindi
along with Sanskrit as the main language of
Indian society. Our dialects also change into
lan- guage with gradual development. Chief
Minister Dr. Yadav also con- gratulated the
honored teachers in Teachers' Day programs.
has said that under the leader-
ship of Prime Minister
Narendra Modi, the country is run- ning at full
speed on the path of eco- nomic progress.
Infrastructure works are the backbone on which
economic and inclusive development policies take
shape. We should recognize the power of
technology, make good use of it, and fulfill the
resolve in the interest of society so that along
with this generation, the coming genera- tions
too can benefit. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was
virtually addressing the conference organized in
Bhopal by the Construction Industry Development
Council (CIDC) from Ujjain. Chief Minister Dr.
Yadav also virtually inaugurated the conference
on "Incorporation of innovations in
infrastructure construction". Chief Minister Dr.
Yadav said that the conference should consider
infra- structure development, environment,
health, innovations, etc. holistically. In the
era of new technology, only continuous
discussions on one plat- form will open new paths
and doors for inclusive development. Every pos-
sibility should be explored for the bet-
terment of the state and construction. Chief
Minister Dr. Yadav said that we have to emphasize
building effec- tive and flexible infrastructure
to pro- tect against natural disasters and cli-
mate change crises. The pace of con- struction
will also have to be increased by adopting new
methods. There are immense possibilities in the
field of construction. There is also scope for
improvement in reducing construction costs and
resources. Today there is a need to adopt envi-
ronment-friendly construction mate- rials and
construction processes. Weather-based
construction also needs to be considered
holistically. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratu-
lated everyone for this important event on the
occasion of Teacher's Day. He said that today we
will get new inspiration on Teachers' Day
dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. You
all know that the Guru-Shishya tradition has
special importance in Indian culture. Keeping
this in view, the Madhya Pradesh government has
decided to celebrate the festival of Guru Purnima
at the government level. It is a matter of
happiness that the name of Vice Chancellors has
now been changed to Kulgurus. Chief Minister Dr.
Yadav said that researchers are like scientific
gurus. The spirit of public interest in the
campus. That is also against the rules," Singh
added. He further stated that the Commission has
submitted its report to the state govern- ment
and has recommended immediate action against the
Madrasa. Responding to NCPCR's claims, School
Education Minister in Madhya Pradesh gov-
ernment, Uday Pratap Singh, said that action
would be initiated against Madrasa. "Inspections
are being carried out in Madrasas operating
across Madhya Pradesh. The registration of 56
Madrasas has been cancelled," the minister told
reporter.
