2Roman Shustrov born (1959) in St. Petersburg
graduated from the prestigious Repin Academy of
Fine Arts in St. Petersburg in 1986. Since 1988
Shustrov started specializing in papier-mâché
doll sculptures. Later on he became a lecturer on
the genre at the Institute of Aplied Arts in St.
Petersburg, and participated in the creation of a
museum-gallery of original art toys and dolls
