  • Sustainability has become a commonly used jargon
in the textile industry, and rightly so. It is
crucial to be environmentally conscious and take
steps to lessen our carbon footprint to preserve
    the earth for future generations.
  • Creating fashion that is sustainable and
environment-friendly is becoming the new norm to
stay relevant and succeed in the textile industry.

4
  • The adoption of numerous technologically
developed sustainable materials has made it
possible to recycle used textiles and reduce
    total water waste.
  • Demand for products made from sustainable
fabrics has grown recently, which has prompted
businesses to source sustainable materials. Both
fast-fashion and luxury companies have adopted
eco-friendly business strategies that are good
for the environment and the economy.

  • Procuring sustainable and authentic raw materials
at reasonable prices was a challenge initially
for businesses but B2B marketplaces like
ReshaMandi assist vendors and buyers in
responsible sourcing by providing them with
transparency and end-to-end traceability of the
    products.
  • Through the integration of its natural fibre
supply chain, ReshaMandi can empower all of its
    stakeholdersincluding farmers, reelers, weavers,
and fashion sellers and build a sustainable
    ecosystem that enables sustainable fashion.

7
  • Committed to creating sustainable product lines
and facilitating the procurement of sustainable
fabrics, ReshaMandis in-house RD team has
developed a range of fabrics and prints that are
    environment-friendly and skin-friendly.
  • Lets have a look at the different types of
    fabrics and prints.

8
ReshaMandi Exclusive FabricsKYOTO COLLECTION
9
  • Paying homage to Bemberg's country of origin,
Japan, where the fibre is solely made, the Kyoto
collection features fabrics created from Bemberg
    Bemberg blends.
  • Replicating classic textiles like Organza,
Habutai, and silk cotton, a variety of fabrics
have been designed with blends of Bemberg and
sustainable fibres like Banana, Bamboo, Hemp,
Eri, Linen, Tencel Modal fibres to create airy,
    light, breathable fabrics

10
RAMANAGARA COLLECTION
11
  • The inspiration behind the collections name is
India's silk capital, Ramanagara. The Ramanagara
collection offers sustainable luxury with its
100 silk and silk blend fabrics.
  • Each fabric in the collection blends silk with
organic fibres such as bamboo, banana, Hemp, spun
silk, and regenerated cellulosic material to
    create 100 natural, easy-to-dye, extremely
    comfortable, and biodegradable fabrics.

12
BOMBAY COLLECTION
13
  • The collection's name is inspired by and pays
tribute to Kalyan in Mumbai, which houses the
oldest viscose manufacturing plant in India.
  • The Bombay collection offers a range of 100
viscose and viscose blend fabrics that are
    affordable, luxurious and sustainable. Each
fabric in the collection is a combination of
viscose with sustainable fibres such as eri,
    flax, bamboo, and banana.

14
  • ReshaMandis future plans include creating jute
fabrics and linen fabric blends to offer more
    sustainable options. These sustainable fabrics
are created by curating with ReshaMandis
stakeholders of the natural fibre supply chain.
  • For instance, fibre manufacturers map the fibre
    developments, then the spinners source
differentiated blends and yarns, followed by
twisters, who blend filament silk, then the
weavers develop these blended fabrics, and
finally, they send them to the processors for the
    finished fabrics. ReshaMandis integrated supply
chain helps in maintaining costs and
    sustainability.

15
ReshaMandi Exclusive Prints
16
  • The in-house RD team have created a diverse
range of customisable fabric prints including
motifs inspired by blue pottery, the Mughal,
Berber heritage, Bougainvilleas and many more as
    digital prints.
  • The advantage and the reason behind creating
digital prints are that it has a lower carbon
footprint, reduces emissions, does not consume
water, reduces wastage and involves a
    hassle-free technique.

17
  • The key to sustainable fashion is innovation, and
ReshaMandi, with its technological innovation, is
    an ode to sustainability.
  • By connecting all the stakeholders of the natural
fibre supply chain, including farmers, reelers,
weavers, and retailers, ReshaMandi is building a
sustainable value chain that gives back to the
    textile industry.
