Each of the events at Rally the Globe gives
participants a unique experience as they explore
a particular region of the world. Within these
welcome limitations, these diverse events are
loosely grouped into one of four Event Categories
to give an indication of the relative levels of
complexity, length, endurance and driving
challenge that participants can expect. In an
ascending order of perceived toughness the

4Our Carreras are all asphalt events, with hotels
along the route chosen for luxury, quirkiness, or
because of nearby historic rally cars highlights.
The events will usually be between one and two
weeks long. The competition on the Carrera will
always include two or three Regularity Sections
per day, with a Test featuring on most days.
Where possible, we will use permanent race
circuits for our Tests. The Carreras are designed
to be friendly, sociable events, without
overcrowding, to enable you to get to know all
the other entrants over drinks in the bar and
shared meals throughout the course of the event.
5Marathons will be long-distance events, with
the emphasis being on exploration and endurance.
They will be the longest of our rallies, with a
mix of Time Control Sections, Tests and
Regularities on a variety of surfaces. There will
be faster Regularity Sections where the
terrain allows, and plenty of off-road
sections. These events will usually take place in
locations which require you to ship your vehicle.
6These events will be around two to three weeks in
length and will usually have a start and/or knish
location that allows European competitors to
drive their cars to or from the rally. In
addition to Tests and Regularity Sections,
Challenges will also feature Time Control
Sections in remote areas and will use a wide
variety of gravel and unsurfaced roads.
7Our shortest events, up to one week in length,
will normally have a specie c theme egg Vintage
Rallies exclusively for pre-war cars, Generations
Rallies for family pairings, etc. They will often
spend more than one night in each hotel to focus
on a thorough exploration of one or two specie c
regions. There will be simple to moderate
Regularity Sections, with the dive cult
increasing over the course of the event, and some
Tests at smaller private venues.
8Our Rallies
We organize Marathon and Challenge category
rallies which are competitive, with Signiant
off-road sections as well as Carrera category
rallies which will explore the globe in a lighter
competition environment, with minimal offroad
sections and at a more civilized pace. All our
clubs rallies will come with the highly
experienced support crew and safety cover. We
will always Nd (and we mean it) the best
accommodation available and, because we are a not
for port company, we will charge no more than the
rallies cost to organize.
