Capital of the state of Rajasthan and the Pink
City of India, Jaipur is Northern Indias first
planned city. Segmented into the older part and
newer part, the older part of the city was
painted pink by Maharaja Ram Singh prior to the
arrival of the Prince of Wales to welcome him,
hence the name Pink City.

5 City palace
At the heart of the old city, this palace strikes
a perfect blend of Rajasthani and Mughal
architecture with gardens, courtyards, and
buildings. Amidst it, one can also make a visit
to the Amber Fort.

mesh of small windows allowing a steady flow of
cool breeze and comforting during hot summers.

Known to be the largest stone astronomical
observatory in the world, it is located just next
to the city palace of Jaipur.
8Nahargarh Fort
Built as a defensive fort on the Aravalli ranges,
the fort is famous for its 12 queen bondouirs and
is a popular picnic spot.
9Jaigarh Fort
It is also known as the fort of victory and
witnessed the waging of various historical wars.
Cannon Jaivana is the largest cannon situated
here.
10Jal Mahal
Situated in the middle of Mansagar Lake, it is
also a habitat for various migratory birds and
fishes.
11Birla Temple
Adorning the idol of Laxmi Narayan its walls are
carved by many writings on Hinduism and other
scholars.
12Albert Hall Museum
It is a stunning example of Indo- Saracenic
architecture and embodies the famous Ram Niwas
Gardens amidst its premises.
