of daily domestic flights to Delhi, Udaipur,
Hyderabad, Goa, Chennai,, Mumbai, Pune .

- Jaipur, the pink city is linked with the all the

National Highways 8, 11 and 12 to name a few. - There's very good bus service given by the
govt..This city is also connected to Mumbai via

for tourism here.

- Jaipur is well connected to almost every part of
India through the means of Indian Railways. There
are three main railway junctions including
Jaipur, the main station Durgapara and
Gandhinagar. There is a special, luxurious and
renowned train called as Palace on Wheels which

- City PalaceLocated in the heart of the Pink City
Jaipur, the City Palace was where the Maharaja
reigned from. This palace also includes the
famous Chandra Mahal' and Mubarak Mahal', and
other buildings which form a part of the palace
complex. - GaitoreGaitore, one of the most prominent
tourist attractions in Jaipur, is a royal
cremation ground for the Kachhwaha Rajput kings
and the members of the royal family. The word
Gaitore' is believed to be a mispronounced form
of the Hindi phrase, 'Gaye ka Thor' which means
resting place of the departed souls'.

- It is considered to be one of the largest
observatories ever built. Combining religion,
science and art, the Jantar Mantar is the name
given to a series of five, magnificent structures
built in Jaipur, New Delhi, Ujjan, Varanasi and

Dal Batti Churma Recognised as a Rajasthan
speciality, Dal-batti-churma, is a wholesome
Rajasthani meal. Dal, or lentil curry, is served
with Bhatti, a roundel of stuffed flour that's
baked in a charcoal fire or oven. Choorma is a
sweet dish made with flour, jaggery or sugar and
ghee. GhewarDeep-fried sweet dish, Ghewar is in
great demand during festivals such as Gangaur and
Teej. It comes in varieties such as mawa and
plain, desi ghee. The best shops for this are LMB
at Johri Bazar and Rawat Sweets. Rajasthani
SubjiGatte subji, Rajasthani curry, Mangori,
Pakodi and Ker Sangari, the traditional subjis,
are part of the daily meals here. Papad - plain

mirror-work, antique-beads, brocade and
embroidery are available at Jaipur. Jaipur bags
are made from excellent quality fabrics, and are

embroidery work. These quilts are light-weight,
comfortable to touch, and provide cozy warmth to
the user. - Bandhej, or Baandhini, is a type of tie-dye
material, which is very popular textile, among
the many Jaipur handicrafts. Dots, waves, squares
and strips are common designs in Bandhej. Natural
and artificial colours are used in making these
patterns which involve a lot of intricate knots
post which the fabric is dyed. Hence the name,
tie-n-dye. -

- Jaipur Jewellery
- Lac jewellery is originally made in Jaipur. These
ethnic handicrafts are finely designed by the
local skilled craftsmen of Jaipur. Lac jewellery
is a rural jewellery art, made by ancient
techniques, passed down from generations. - Jaipur's enthralling collection of metal
jewellery, beautifully textured and comprising of
many colours, shapes and sizes are simply a great
work of art. - Oxidized jewellery fashioned by expert craftsmen,
are studded with exclusive mirror-work, and
colourful beads. The jewellery is oxidized to
specific requirements, to retain the colour and
shine of the metal. Oxidization of jewellery
creates an antique look and a smoky appearance of

of vibrant colours. - Thewa jewellery, a closely guarded, ancient

form that involves complex treatment and fusion
of glass with precious metals like gold and
