High Security Line perimeter protection
systems These products are designed for
extremely high safety requirements e.g. for
government buildings, embassies, military zones
and more, in order to prevent anyone
intentionally breaking through an entrance
(terrorism attack). All Pilomat High Security
products have been tested according to
International Crash Test Standards. High
Security Line Products are normally used to
prevent terrorist attacks and in all situations
in which a high protection is required. These
equipments are normally crash tested, responding
to the High Security International Standard
Rates. The Line includes Bollards, Road Blockers,
Tyre Killers.

INGS FAQ
- My client wants an ASTM K12 test.
K ratings have never existed in ASTM. K
ratings were replaced in 2007 by the introduction
of ASTM 2656. The DOS K12 should correctly be
referred to as an ASTM M50.
- What is the equivalent of an ASTM M50 test in
PAS68/IWA14-1 ?
The closest equivalent test is PAS
V/7500(N3)/80/90 or IWA14-12013
V/7200N3C/80/90. This is N3 (18T rated vehicle
massed to 7500kg or 7200kg) at 80km/h and 90deg.
- What is the difference between PAS68, ASTM and
IWA14-1 tests ?
In addition to the vehicle dimensions and impact
energy variances, there is a difference in test
conditions. PAS68 does not define an installation
configuration. Under ASTM the product must be
installed into a low cohesive compacted soil.
IWA14 describes both in soil or site
specific/rigid installation.
- Does the introduction of IWA14-1 obsolete or
negate previous testing standards?
No, IWA 14-1 does not negate or obsolete testing
carried out to the PAS 68 or CWA 16221 criteria.
IWA 14-1 is a progression of these testing
standards and combines elements of the PAS 68
ASTM standard to achieve a cohesive standard.

Manual lowering in case of power failure To
lower the bollard manually 1. Completely unscrew
the fitting screws in the frame and remove the
frame cover. Use the Allen key included in
the scope of delivery (Fig. 1). 2. Remove the
plastic cap (labelled Replace me) from the frame
(Fig. 2). 3. Guide the long side of the Allen key
into the hole until it presses against the button
for manual lowering (Fig. 3). 4. Press and hold
the Allen key until the bollard is fully lowered
(Fig. 4). 5. Replace the plastic cap and the
frame cover and retighten the fitting screws.
