Introduction
Megan Thee Stallion is an American rapper. She

about gender, race, and sex. Some of her songs,
like "WAP" with Cardi B and Megan, talk about
self-confidence and being happy with your body.

Megan Thee Stallion was brought into the world on
February 15, 1995, in San Antonio, Texas, as
Megan Jovon Ruth Pete. Megan grew up with her
mother, Holly Thomas, her grandmother, and her
great-grandmother in Houston's South Park
neighbourhood. Joseph Pete Jr., her father, spent
the first eight years of her life in prison.
After he was released, they got closer, and
stayed close until he died when Megan was 15.

The Start of a Rap Career
Megan started going to school at Prairie View AM
University in Houston in 2013. She started
rapping when she went to college. She said it in
2019 "I don't know why I didn't even tell anyone
in high school that I wanted to rap. I didn't
want to say anything, but when I got to college,
I just said, "I'm a rapper."" She fought in
battles, and her freestyles did well on the
internet.
6
First Rap
Megan first rapped for her mom when she was 7.
She used a Barbie toy with pre-recorded beats and
instruments to help her. She would sometimes take
her mother's instrumentals and write her own
lyrics to them. But at first, she didn't tell
anyone about her desire to rap. In middle school,
she was in charge of the cheerleading and dance
teams. In high school, she was on the drill and
dance teams.
7
Dreams
Megan's long-term plans include continuing to
rap, but she says, "I'm not ruling anything out."
"I don't like to be pigeonholed. I want to do
anything I can get my hands on. I would simply
prefer not to be known as Megan the rapper when
I'm in my 30s. I need to be known as Megan the
tycoon. I want to have been a director and have
all my brand deals."I want to be known as someone
who helps people."
8
Family Death
Megan's fame grew, but she kept depending on her
mother "I would always say, "I'm going to call my
mom." She'll figure it out."In March 2019 Thomas
died from a brain tumour, so she no longer had
this help. Megan's great-grandmother also died in
the same month, which was sad.
9
Success in a Job
Megan found that putting her brain on her work
assisted her arrangement with her misfortune. She
told Rolling Stone, "The losses burden me."
"However I know what my mother and grandmother
would believe that I should do. My mother is a
strong person. She made me grow up to be very
strong. If I had the chance to spread happiness,
I would do it."
10
Won Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards
Megan won Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards
in 2021. She also won for Excellent Rap
Performance and Best Rap Song for the remix of
