• Assisted RPA 
• RPA started as a natural evolution of the
  scripts, macros. 
• Unassisted RPA
• Unassisted process automates a complete sub -
  process from the start to finish.  
• Unstructured Data
• RPA solutions traditionally relied on structured
  data(data stored in known locations with known
  definition and format). 
• Intelligent Automation
• Current RPA solutions are based on the
  pre-programmed business rules. The technology
  will evolve beyond the point when RPA AI
  solution converge.

Limitations of RPA

•  Not all processes are suitable for RPA means we
  can automate rule based, on high volumes and that
  does not require, judgmental decisions or human
  interventions.
• Bad processes should not be automated . - those
  processes which are unstable and prompt to change
  are not ideal candidate for RPA.
• There is still need for human intervention as RPA
  doesn't respond well to exceptions and the human
  intervention is still required to correct those
  exceptions.
