Origin
Like many other cool words that we think are
American These are not actual American these are
Irish, this word malarky is also an
Irish word. Because an Irish cartoonist entered
used or use this word again and again until it
comes into Public attention. Exact origin of
malarkey is still unknown but this word was
introduced in 1920s. If youre thinking what
other word is Irish which you do not know,
Then it is shenanigans. Yes, shenanigans is also
an Irish ward which is favorite of most of
Americans. Now this word is used worldwide and it
has its own vibe. Malarkey has American roots in
addition to its Irish origins. It does, however,
appear on occasion in the United Kingdom. 'The
Malarkey,' a poetry collection by a British poet
and novelist, was published recently. Malarkey
has been used as a trademark in the United
States, most commonly as an eponym.
