Title: Colour Coordinate Your Make-Up With Your Outfit

1
Colour Coordinate Your Make-Up With Your Outfit
  • It is not just fun to match your makeup to your
outfit, it's pretty fool proof! After all, making
up is part of an overall look so it makes sense
    to coordinate the components.
  • 1.Keep on to one colour palette
  • You need to be vigilant if you're talking of
matching your makeup to your outfit (and your
outfits on the bold side of it). A bold shade
will prove disastrous on your face and body.
Think of a bright blue sweater with blue
    eyeshadow to suit ... Exactly.
  • Now, that isn't to suggest you should be staying
totally clear of bright makeup. That's totally
not it. Only take note of the clothes you wear,
and suggest using a light hand to apply blush and
lipstick in contrasting shades if it is, say, a
bright pink dress or top. Pick an eye shadow in a
shade that flatters pink and try to avoid
choosing the exact same eye shadow shade to your
    outfit.
  • Playing down your facial features would be a good
compliment to a loud outfit. If you're more
inclined to wear silent colours like brown,
burgundy or navy blue, you're freer to make up!
If you're wearing more toned-down colours, you
don't run the risk of looking cartoonish, but you
still need to make sure your overall look is
evened out, which takes us to our next rule...

2
  • . Equally spread colours
  • We have stated earlier that matching your makeup
to your outfit is an easy trend to learn in
making-up. Although all in all this is real, it
doesn't mean that every piece of clothing is easy
to fit! If you fit your lipstick to your dress,
for example, you'll probably have a tough time
    not going overboard.
  • Nevertheless, don't feel bad even the most
professional stylists and makeup artists are
having a hard time matching every lipstick colour
with a dress and keeping the look polished and
elegant. None said it was simple to work with
colours and shades, and it is especially
difficult to fit a makeup colour to a large
    garment properly.
  • One way to ensure you prevent a faux pas is to
spread the colours equally. Consider picking one
of your items, such as your shoes or purse, and
matching your lipstick or eyeshadow to that
specific piece. Not only does this save time,
because you only have to concentrate on a
specific item instead of a whole piece of
clothing, you also have to be organized in a way
that's much more stylish than matching your whole
outfit face. Red bag? No problem you can
quickly find an additional shade for your lips
that will tie the outfit together in a very clean
    manner.

3
  • Do not get too matchy
  • When it comes to putting your makeup and dress
together, it's very tempting to get carried away
so we can't emphasise enough how important it is
not to go overboard. When it comes to matching
everything, don't be too simplistic you want to
pair those colours together and look shiny, and
that's perfect, but you don't want to pick two
colours and deck yourself out from head to toe,
    trust us!
  • As described earlier, a great way to avoid being
too overdone is to concentrate on matching your
accessories to your makeup. Also, take some time
to prepare your makeup and wardrobe, and
determine which feature you want to play up.
  • Perhaps you enjoy playing with eye shadow and
have wide, expressive eyes to work with if this
is the case, make them bold and keep your outfit
more subdued (think darker, less brash colours).
Choose a leopard-print blouse if you swear by
animal prints and match your lipstick to another
part of your ensemble, such as a belt or
earrings. This way, instead of being too catchy,
you can use complementary accents. This is an
    approach much easier!

4
  • Know what you are doing
  • To truly master the trend of matching your makeup
to your dress, though, you'll need to bear in
mind some main things to give you a hand, we've
put together a little guide below that focuses on
different elements and how to work with them
  • Eyeshadow
  • There are a few ways to put an ensemble together
by selecting the correct eye shadow. Wearing a
fun, adventurous outfit? This is your chance to
pick a shade of gold, soft purple or beige hair.
Yet eye shadow isn't the same as lipstick, so if
the rest of your outfit is also bright, you can
really wear a bright colour on your eyes-just
make sure it's a matching colour (and it's done
    with taste!)
  • If you keep your look low key with shades of grey
or black, this is your chance to show off a smoky
eye, and you can even spice it up in shades of
brown or plum. It also doesn't hurt to have a
general understanding of which eye shadows fit
better with other colours of the skin, so we
suggest doing some research to educate you self
for example, golds fit well with blue eyes while
purples are a beautiful compliment to green eyes.

  • Blush
  • Blush and eye shadow can be applied to two very
different areas of the face but when it comes to
matching, they have identical rules! As with eye
makeup, blush should not be matched directly to
clothes. Take some time to find out if you don't
know which blush fits best for your complexion.
When you know which colours to stick to, you can
determine how to pair it with an ensemble the
great news is, you don't have to think about
matching! You're in the clear as long as it fits
your skin tone which isn't the exact same hue
    as the clothes you wear.
  • Lipstick
  • In the world of beauty lipstick is still going to
be a showstopper. Regardless of the hue, the
lipstick makes a statement, and that is important
to note while designing any outfit you want to
compliment your makeup. You can easily pick a
pink or neutral shade for your lips if you are
wearing bold colours. You can be more adventurous
in your choice of lipstick if you're wearing
jeans and a plain top, and pick a berry, red, or
even orange shade to attract attention to. Keep
lipstick finishes in mind when selecting the
right shade of lipstick, as they can add or
detract from the statement you have made!
