Tyler Herbst (Baseball) graduated from North Iowa
Area Community College with an Associate of Arts
degree in 1998 and Lincoln Memorial University in
Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science degree in
Physical Education in 2000.

Tyler Herbst began his coaching career in 2000 as
a Graduate Assistant Baseball Coach at Lincoln
Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee. As
Assistant Baseball Coach/Recruiting
Coordinator/Academic Liaison at Iowa Western
Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa, his
responsibilities include reviewing participant
behavior within team norms and objectives.

Tyler Herbst (Baseball) also develops and
oversees strength training and other
fitness/health training programs for baseball
players to help them enhance their game. 2012
NCAA Regional Tournament Assistant Coach of the
Year, ABCA/Baseball America NJCAA Division 1
Assistant Coach of the Year, 2019.

• At-Large selection.
• Two All-Sunbelt Conference performers.
• The highest rating of 27 in three national polls
  in 2005.

Tyler Herbst has volunteered for various
organizations, including the Athletes in Action
summer collegiate baseball league in Fairbanks,
Alaska, as an assistant coach. In addition, he
coached six Major League Draft first-round
choices (Lance Broadway).

Tyler Herbst (Baseball) was also a Eugene Pate
American Legion coach in Evansville, IN, where he
finished runner-up in the American Legion State
Tournament. In addition, he has volunteered with
Habitat for Humanity in Evansville, Indiana,
Miracle League Volunteer in Little Rock, Arkansas
(baseball for special needs kids), and Race for
the Cure in Little Rock, Arkansas.
