  • An error occurs when QuickBooks refuses to open
    and cannot open the list of QuickBooks companies.
    Users get infuriated because most of the
    important tasks are still pending, when user
    receives QuickBooks wont open error. If users

  • Solution 3 Rename/Delete QBWUSER.INI
  • When you rename/delete the QBWUSER.INI file, it
    helps in erasing all the information that is
    saved in the list of previously opened files. The
    steps are as follows
  • On your keyboard, press Windows E
    simultaneously.
  • In the "Organize" tab on the left, click
    "Folders" and "Search".
  • Click on the 'View' tab.
  • Select the Show hidden files and folders option
    under Advanced Settings gtgt Hidden files and
    folders.
  • Go to My Computer gtgt C drive gtgt Documents gtgt
    Your user name gtgt Local Settings gtgt Application
    Data gtgt Intuit gtgt QuickBooks year.
  • Click Delete/Rename on the QBWUSER.INI file 
  • QuickBooks automatically creates a QBWUSER.INI
    file.
