Sanitizers And Detergents - What's The
Difference?
2
We have often come across articles that advise us
on how to keep our home and workspace clean, and
the importance of it. Some articles even advise
us to hire disinfection and cleaning services as
opposed to doing it ourselves. Given the hectic
lives we lead, hiring sanitization and
disinfection services in Dubai is a good idea.
But simply hiring professionals isnt enough. We
also need to understand the terms related to
this. Most of the articles explain the difference
between cleaning sanitizing or the difference
between sanitizing and disinfecting. However, in
this article, we will discuss the difference
between sanitizers and detergents. Sometimes we
use terms like sanitizers and detergents
interchangeably since we (wrongly) think that
they serve the same purpose. We think, in the
end, it is all about cleaning a surface. Little
do we know that both these products work
differently and serve different purposes. It is
time to understand them better. Let us start
with detergents. A detergent is a product that
removes dirt and dissolves grease. It is one of
the most important steps involved in the process
of cleaning by sanitized cleaning services. The
sole purpose of using a detergent is to lift the
dirt and grease from a surface. It does not kill
bacteria.

On the other hand, a sanitizer is a product that
is designed to kill germs and bacteria from a
surface. The main ingredient of sanitizers is
alcohol. It kills and reduces the number of
bacteria to a point that is deemed safe by the
health department. It is important to clean the
surface before sanitizing it to ensure its
effectiveness. The surfaces you should clean
with a detergent include floors, walls, waste
disposal bins, storage shelves, etc. The surfaces
you should sanitize include handles, doors,
faucets, switches, and equipment that comes in
frequent contact with food. Now that you know
the difference between sanitizers and detergents.
We hope that you will not find it difficult to
hire a sanitize and disinfect company the next
time and ask for a service you specifically need.
