  • Brasilia is the seat of the government of the
    Federal District founded by President Juscelino
    Kubitschek on April 21, 1960.
  • It is estimated to be the 3rd most populated
    region of Brazil and amongst the Latin American
    cities with the highest GDP ratio.
  • It was originally a planned city by Lucio Cosat,
    Joaquim Cardozo and Oscar Niemeyer in 1956.
