Title: Interesting Facts About the Lemur, Giant Squid, Sloth

1
Lemur
Interesting Facts About the Lemur
2
Lemurs are a group of highly diverse primates
found on the island of Madagascar. Though they
are primates, and a close resemblance, they are
not considered monkeys. Instead, lemurs developed
apart from monkeys and apes, and they are
actually more closely related to lorises and bush
babies. Read on to learn about the lemur. There
are almost 100 different species of lemur, and
each is different from the next. Some species are
black and white, some have black rings on their
tails, and some have burnished orange fur.

Giant Squid
Interesting Facts About the Giant Squid
4
Giant squid are some of the largest cephalopods
in the world, second only to the colossal squid.
These mysterious creatures owe their size to
deep-sea living. Scientists arent quite sure how
many species of these squid live in the deep sea,
mainly because it is so difficult to study
animals in the depths! Read on to learn about
the giant squid. The idea of a massive squid at
the bottom of the sea is interesting in itself.
If their mere existence isnt shocking enough,
these fun facts may catch you by surprise.
5
Sloth
Interesting Facts About the Sloth
6
Sloths are literally named for their
characteristically slow movement. Adored in pop
culture, sloths are the subject of many adorable
viral videos, and seen in numerous movies and
cartoons. There is much more to these endearing
creatures than their famously slow movements.
Read on to learn about the sloth. Sloths are
built for life in the trees, where their long,
curved claws are used for gripping branches.
Depending on the species, the arms will have two
or three long claws, which are used to hang
upside down underneath branches.
