Regional SRED Information

• Alberta SRED

• All corporations based in, and carrying out SRED
  in Quebec, and are eligible for university
  research, private partnership, and salaries tax
  credits.

• All corporations based in, and carrying
  out SRED in Ontario, and are eligible for
  Innovation, business-research, research and
  development tax credits.

• Alberta SRED is managed by Alberta Ministry of
  Finance and Enterprise. Any corporation with
  permanent set-up in Alberta that is involved in
  SRED and qualified for federal SRED tax credit
  after December 31, 2008. It is refundable at 10
  on up to 4 million in eligible expenditure.
  Please note that the definition of eligible
  expenditure was revised after December 31, 2012.

Requirements for SRED

• On a primary level, you need to be involved
  in scientific and technological RD. You need to
  be working towards uncovering scientific or
  technological knowledge that has not been known
  previously within the public or industrial
  domains and/or, you need to be developing or
  improving products and processes to advance
  technology.
