We generally consider quotes to be rather cliché
however, it is necessary to hear and understand
those who have reached the stars or the 100
bills in this case, therefore, as Benjamin
Franklin said, An investment in knowledge pays
the best interest. Education is a form of
investment from which one can reap the benefits
for the rest of their lives. For example, as an
IB student, I occasionally thought of the
Extended Essay to be wasteful however, as a
University student,

I understand the need to learn to write long
essays on a single, niche topic that are not only
necessary for the grades but also important as a
skill. Furthermore, no form of education or
learning can fail you. All through high-school,
my dislike towards the subject of Mathematics
grew boundless however, today, when I am entering
into the world of data and empirical business,
the foundation provided by Maths in my early
years is helping me to crack every problem.

A lot of young adults argue the irrelevance of
formal education by giving the example of Bill
Gates and Mark Zuckerberg without realizing that
they did not drop out of high-school but the
famous Ivy League college, Harvard. Among many
attributes like persistence and determination,
education is also an aspect that helped them get
where they are today. While I do agree that other
things like sports and art are equally important
however,

it is the education of these very sectors that
also contribute to succeeding. Imagine knowing
the effects of different colors on the emotions
of individuals or the impact different brush
strokes can have all of this is a part of
education as well. It is important to understand
that education is not confined to the traditional
subjects but to every interest a student may
have, ranging from English Literature to Sports
psychology.
