  • Is Jumping Rope Bad For Scoliosis? Yes Or No?
  • We all know that exercise is always a good idea.
However, there are few exercises that should be
avoided when suffering from certain health
challenges and conditions. Many people inquire,
is jumping rope bad for scoliosis?
  • The answer to this question is yes, jumping rope
is bad for scoliosis! Scoliosis is a back
condition that does now permit a person to do a
lot of physical movement. There are certain
movements that should be definitely avoided by
people suffering from scoliosis. One of the
exercises that are not allowed at all is jumping
rope. There is a major impact on both the feet
and the back once you land on the floor as you
jump rope. It is proved by professionals and
experts that jumping rope is bad for scoliosis as
it can also lead to deformity of shape. It can
cause spine curvature and postural collapse.
Scoliosis can happen to children as well and as
they are constantly playing, one must keep
surveillance on them. With jumping rope, the
spine tends to compress a lot with every jump and
landing. It is not recommended to a scoliosis
patient young or adult at all.

  • The very basic movements of keeping the neck bent
forward or head down is not right for a scoliosis
patient. It leads to further damage of the spine.
  • One must not discard the fact that while jumping
rope, you can also have a bad fall and if a
person has scoliosis then it can turn into some
major damage. Any kind of exercises that causes
pressure or major impact to the body should be
removed from the schedule of a person who has
scoliosis. Instead, exercises that have very soft
movements should be performed but only if
    permitted by the professional.
  • It is very important to know that if a person has
scoliosis, there will be situation where the
capability of lungs to function smoothly also
reduces. There is a high chance that if the
scoliosis is very server or extreme, it can lead
to less years to your life. Along with lower lung
functionality, the heart condition can also get
very poor. In order to be safe from all these
problems, worsening scoliosis by jumping rope is
certainly not a wise idea. The family members of
the person with scoliosis must also take care of
    these few things.
