people in Karnataka according to the Hindu
calendar.  It is known as Ugadi in Karnataka and
Gudi Padwa in Maharashtra. In other parts of
India like Bengal, the festival is called 'Poila
Boisakh'. When is the festival of Ugadi
celebrated? according to the Hindu calendar the
festival falls on Chaitra Shukla Prathama. That
is the beginning of the New Year for
