Antibacterial Soap
  • Antibacterial Soap might be harmful for your
children. No doubt that such an Antibacterial
Soaps are made to eradicate germs from your hands
and body but this does affect children with super
sensitive skin. The ingredient that causes such
irritation is triclosan. The FDA has also gone
through studies that shows that the ingredients
are absolutely harmful for the children and hence
it should always be kept in mind while applying
the same on your kid. Such chemicals are highly
toxic to skin and can affect the growth and
development of a child. If you are super alert of
the germs then buying a normal soap is just fine.

3
Having eczema problems with lotion
  • We all want babies with extra soft skin but
sometimes it may contain problems for sensitive
    babies. Certain moisturizers might contain
burning agents which will create problems for
children just after applying. The fragrances in
the moisturiser might irritate the skin and will
make it more sensitive to children suffering from
eczema. Parents still worry for certain
ingredients in the lotion that are quite
bothersome, like for example, parabens and
phthalates. Many even suggested that it causes
hormonal problems. If your baby has super dry
skin, always use mild soap and pat the skin.
Rubbing will cause the skin to break off which
will create more burning sensation. If you still
want to use lotion on your babys body, you must
consult with the pediatrician for some
suggestions as per the skin type.

Using baby wipes
  • Disposable baby wipes might be harmful for your
baby. It contains irritable alcohol that causes
skin to burn or have the feeling of irritation.
Some of the brands also uses preservatives which
triggers allergic reactions. Your baby might
build up a rash or hives due to the allergy
causing agents. Its always been an excellent
idea to carry some wet washcloths while
    travelling.

5
Laundry Detergents
  • Laundry detergents might have some irritable
chemicals that can burn the skin of your child.
Here burning is linked with burning sensation
that itself is irritating. This happens
especially when your child has sensitive skin. If
your child has eczema issue, he/she will have
immediate issue with such laundry detergents. In
order to avoid this, make sure you only use a
mild detergent which has got no perfumes and
dyes. For better safety, wash your childs
clothes twice before putting on the clothes. This
will help in removing any residue which might
    remains even after cleaning.

6
Liquid Fabric Softener
  • A lot of babies have issues with the shampoo.
Being a parent, it becomes very important to
check what shampoo you are using on your childs
hair. Some chemicals tend to bother scalps of
your child and hence it should be watched
carefully. Studies have found that certain
ingredients are totally bad for children's
health. They are- formaldehyde, phthalates and
1,4 dioxane. The only way you can protect your
baby from getting super sensitive with shampoos
is to avoid anything that contains added flavours
or fragrances. You can go with the natural
formula without any chemicals or less chemicals.

7
Household Cleaners
  • Household cleaners are also risky especially when
you have no idea what's inside the product.
Studies have shown that ingredients such as
alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEs) which are commonly
found in detergents can cause hormonal disbalance
in children. Hence these are very lethal for a
child. If the brand contains ammonia, it will be
very dangerous for kids as it tends to burn the
skin and is also poisonous at the same time. If
you want a cleaner room with no dangerous or
harmful effect, always go with something that has
more of a natural touch without any added
chemicals. Vinegar and baking soda works just
perfectly fine when it comes to cleaning- be it
    your room or just clothes.

Bug Spray
  • Often times we tend to get rid of insects in the
hope that it will protect our kids from poisonous
insects but in reality your childs skin will be
at risk for such act. No doubt that bug spray
will help in keeping the insects away from your
child, but the formula will burn the skin and
will make them more sensitive to sunlight if they
apply sunscreen. The American Academy of
Pediatrics have warned parents to use bug spray
which only contains 30 DEET. dont use any type
of repellent creams or sprays if your baby is
    under 2 months.

9
Cleaning Surfaces
  • This is the most important thing to do when you
have a kid in your house. Your floor and carpet
is a home to dust masters and it finds an easy
way through child. Children love to play on the
floor and hence they get in contact with the dust
which will later be passed into their stomach as
they tend to place fingers straight into their
mouth. Make sure you have cleaned the floors and
carpets before leaving your kids on it.

10
Preservatives in Soap
  • The soaps which are meant for babies may contain
some ingredients that wont suit your child. As
these soaps have to contain some preservatives to
sustain its usage, such thing can highly affect a
childs skin. It can cause irritation on the
skin, eyes and lungs. In fact the worst part
about it is it can cause eczema in children.
Nowadays, eczema has become very common in
children. Hence every parent should consider
these facts before buying any product for their
babies. Search for something that does not
contain any harmful chemicals or fragrances.
