destructive. If you or someone you know is
suffering from an eating disorder, you should

Inpatient Services If your condition has led to
physical problems that may be life threatening or
reached a point of severe psychological or
behavioral problems, then you need inpatient
treatment.
Outpatient Services If the patient is
psychiatrically and physically stable, continues
to make progress in recovery and no longer needs
daily medical monitoring, then outpatient
treatment is preferred.

• Types of Eating Disorders

Here is a list of eating disorders which are
treated at Ellern Mede Clinic.
Anorexia Nervosa It is an eating disorder in
which a person affected tries to keep his or her
weight as low as possible with restricted diet.
Binge Eating Disorder It is an eating disorder
in which a person affected binges on food and has
no control over his or her eating behaviors.
Selective Eating Disorder It is an eating
disorder, also known as Avoidant/Restrictive Food
Intake Disorder (ARFID), in which a person
affected restricts his or her diet to certain
food.
Bulimia Nervosa It is an eating disorder in
which the person affected binges on food,
followed by purging.
