Introduction

Key Points

  • Serve Your Audience.
  • Content to Be Included.
  • Going Beyond Words.
  • Organization of Poster.

4
Purpose of Creating the Poster
  • You need academic poster that captures your
    selected audience's attention and stimulate
interest in your study region. In this regard, it
is not like an academic essay, as it seeks to
connect your study project using colorful
graphics in a short and concise way to gain
attention. A powerful key message should be
conveyed through the poster. They can serve as a
tool to raise awareness of an issue.

5
Serve Your Audience
  • If you understand your crowd, it is simpler to
communicate thoughts effectively. Find out who's
going to attend your presentation. Will they be
members of the public in your sector, people from
other areas, or something in between? Think about
your selected audience's current understanding of
your study project. Before thinking about what
data to include, it is essential to know whether
or not they know your terminology and study
methods. People outside of your field may need
assistance to see the larger image or to
understand the importance of your results. Do not
frustrate your crowd with an excessively long
    presentation.

6
Content to Be Included
  • Keep in mind, be selective! Do not attempt to
cover the whole study project. Focus on the most
relevant elements for your selected audience. It
shouldnt include content thats irrelevant, but
instead must include content related your study
project in some manner, including graphics and
text. For additional data, make sure to include
web links, references and contact details. Talk
about what you have done, discuss what you have
discovered and concluded why your findings are
    crucial.

7
Going Beyond Words
  • For the transmission of data, your poster must
include effective visual imagery. Besides your
name, the graphic appearance is what individuals
use to determine their interest. Use pictures,
numbers, timelines, and graphs to say your tale
for your audience. Most observers want to listen
to you while looking at beautiful pictures. Allow
the focus to be on the visually interesting
    sections of your poster.
