Cover-open switch
Some Lexmark printers give an error like print
head or covered open that prevent computer to
accept and process any data. The same underlying
problem is reflected in both messages-malfunctioni
ng levers of the cover sensor. A cover-open
warning message will be triggered which will
leave a user to unable to shut down the printer
without disconnecting it from electrical power.
If the switch is replaced or lever is adjusted
then the problem can be cured. If a user wants to
avoid occurring again then instead of slamming
cover closed to handle the printer gently

If the length of cable is more than 10 feet then
try to use a shorter one because if a user is
using a longer cable then there might be a
problem of display communication errors. Try to
use other ports also your computer has it. Try to
unplug the cable and replug it even it was
working properly yesterday or last week or get it
replaced with the new cable.

Internal condition
Intervention requested is a state when the
printer needs ink, toner or paper to clear out a
paper jam. Print occupations get out of the print
line yet don't develop on paper until you settle
the printer's concern and set it back on the web.
Try to use fresh cartridge instead of refilled
one to avoid this problem. Once you have used
your cartridge then dont try to refill it
instead of that buy a new one and filled
cartridge must be returned back to the
manufacturer
