Title: Cable Assemblies – All You Need To Know – Miracle Aerospace

1
Cable assemblies are bundles of cables bound
together by cable ties, lacing, electrical tapes,
sleeves, straps, connectors, conduit, or
extruded strings. These cable assemblies are used
to safely and effectively channelize signals or
electricity in a variety of residential,
commercial, and industrial applications. The
major applications where standardized cable
assemblies are used include machinery,
automobiles, aerospace, military, and marine.
Benefits of cable assemblies Cable assemblies
are highly preferred over individual
cables because of numerous advantages.
First and foremost, the assemblies tie up
multiple cables together, thus making the space
neat, clean, and organized, which in turn
eliminates probability of trips
and accidents. Secondly, the assemblies provide
jacketed coverings to the otherwise naked
cables, thus keeping the operators away from
shocks, and reducing the likeliness of fires,
while also keeping the cables protected against
vibration, abrasion, moisture, and corrosion
thus making them last longer. Cable assemblies
combine multiple cables, which makes
installation, repairing, maintenance, and
replacement tasks easy thus reducing time and
effort, while also reducing errors. Production
of cable assemblies The process of production of
cable assemblies is very detailed. First, the
diagram of the assembly is clearly and
comprehensively drawn as per the geometric and
electrical requirements. The wires are then cut,
and the ends are stripped to expose the core to
the

exact length specified in the drawing. The ends
are then crimped with the help of terminals, and
are soldered using specific tooling to ensure
proper connection. The cables are then assembled
on a special workbench or assembly board, as per
the specifications provided in the drawing.
Lastly, the cables are protected in sleeves and
jackets, or any similar components. Manual or
automated processes? As you can see above,
the entire process of cable assembly
manufacturing is a manual process. This is
because the steps of securing the cables with
protective taping and sleeves, and fastening of
clamps, and other such processes are difficult to
achieve through automation. However, there are
certain production steps that are being slowly
and gradually automated for easier and quicker
productions, especially for large volume
production. For example, if you approach Miracle
Aerospace for having the best aerospace cable
assemblies in India manufactured for you, they
will use automated machines for cutting,
stripping, and crimping the cables to achieve
accurate and faster processes. Other than
aerospace, you can also get varieties of EMI
shielded, flat, ribbon, RF, power, and military
cable assemblies manufactured here by a team of
IPC 620B and IPC A610 certified engineers who use
lean manufacturing processes for productions. In
addition, after the production, all the
assemblies will be tested for dimension, weight,
continuity, Hi-Pot, and compliance to
environmental requirements before being
delivered to you. It is not without any reason
that their cable assemblies are certified and
approved by DGAQA and MSQAA for platform specific
applications and that their production
processes are certified for quality to ISO 9001,
AS9100C. So, no matter what you application, no
matter what the temperature, pressure, and
environment, always prefer using cable assemblies
over individual cables to reap more effective
and longer lasting results.
