Introduction
  • Effective allocation of Time taking it to the
    micro level is required for cracking an entrance
    examination like UPSC. The success rate of the
    IAS is the most dismal of all the competitive
    exams. Survey reveals that seven out of every 10
    successful candidates require at least 3 attempts
    to clear the onerous examination. The civil
    services exam has among the lowest success rates
    among competitive examinations. While the IIT's
    and IIM's having rigorous selection criteria
    still enjoy about 15-16 success rate, IAS has a
    success rate of less than 5. The reasons for
    such a dismal success rate in the UPSC
    examination is owing to the following factors
  •   Lack of Time management during exam
  • Underestimating the magnitude of the
    Preliminary Exam
  • Lack of Practice
  • Fear of the Exam
  • Lack of Revision

Time is a critical factor in competitive
examinations, more so in the case of IAS exam
known to be one of the most convoluted, intricate
and baffling examinations. Even so, it becomes
more important from the viewpoint of prospective
 IAS aspirants who are targeting one of the
 Byzantine, Daedalian and Gordian. entrance
examinations of the country. The UPSC exam has
the most capacious and voluminous syllabus
extending over myriad topics from various
subjects and field and covering the syllabus in
detail within the stipulated time frame becomes a
crucial factor for a serious candidate. Studies
have shown that candidates devoting 10-12 hours
of study hours on a daily basis for the IAS
preparation have failed to reach their goals of
completing the entire syllabus on time
subsequently landing them in STRESS, ANXIETY OR
DEPRESSION which curtail their exam preparation
subsequently.   The most commonly recurring
question asked the prospective candidates of the
UPSC exam is the building of a result oriented
