- Total Drought Tolerant Species over Total Green
Area gt 80 - Water Efficient Irrigation System Using Drip
Irrigation as well as Water Sprinkler Methodology - Segregation of Irrigation according to
individuals water requirement - Landscape Water Monitoring through Dedicated
Water Meter - Additionally, using stored rainwater in
irrigation system for growing plants
18Water Efficiency- Landscape Design
19JAL- Water efficient fixtures Targets 50 water
savings over the base line
- Water Efficient Fixtures
- Urinals 0.8 LPF
- Water Closet 4 LPF
- Faucets 2.7 LPM
- Showerhead 6 LPM
20Storm Water / Rainwater Storage And Harvesting
- Capturing 100 of rainwater from roof and
non-roof surface. - Filtering the rain-water through filtration beds.
- Storing the rain water (76 cu. m.)
- Stored rainwater then further reused in
irrigation. - Recharging the filtered rainwater (overflow)
through the recharge well (bore-well).
21Energy Efficiency
- TARGET ENERGY SAVINGS gt 40
- Use of CFC/HCFC free refrigerants in HVAC and
Fire Suppression Systems. - Using highly efficient chillers having COP of
6.1. - Thermal Energy Storage System
- Energy Efficient Interior and Exterior Lighting
(Mix use of LEDs and CFLs) - Maximum use of daylight in all regularly occupied
spaces. - Energy monitoring of utilities using energy
meters and power analyzer.
22Off-site Green Power Investment
- The company has installed 3 windmills with the
capacity of 800 kW each totaling to 2.4 MW. - The power generated from one windmill is utilized
for running company engaged in diamond cutting
polishing. - The rest of power generated from the other two
(2) windmills i.e. 1.6 MW is sold to Gujarat
Electricity Board (GEB) at a concessional rate of
Rs. 3.31/unit as against around Rs. 7/unit. - This power is then utilized by Gujarat
Electricity in supply to small scale, cottage
industries and for other social causes.
