Introduction
  • A lean management system is a long-term approach
which helps the organization in achieving the
small and incremental change in the process to
improve the quality as well as efficiency. Lean
management also supports the organization to
carry the concept of continuous improvement in
the positive direction (Martinez et al., 2014).
  • We can apply the lean management system by
adopting the following steps or principles
  • Through defining the value of end customers from
    the standpoints
  • Through identifying every step involved in the
process of a business as well as eliminating the
steps which do not create value to the business
  • Through creating the value steps which should
    occur in proper sequence
  • Through continuous repeating the above three
steps regularly to eliminate the waste completely

3
Corporate Culture
  • The corporate culture can be defined according to
the beliefs, values, attitudes, and assumptions
of the society. The beliefs, values, the attitude
of the people constitute the culture of the
organization (Guiso et al., 2015). Healthy
organizational culture is one of the important
factors which ensure the effectiveness and
efficiency of the organization. It also ensures
higher performance and productivity of the
    employees in the organization.

Best Practices in Lean Management System
  • It is difficult to apply lean approaches to the
knowledge work because neither it is repetitive
nor it can be unambiguously defined. The works
which involve judgment and expertise depend
greatly on tacit knowledge (ReVelle, 2016). Tacit
knowledge is locked inside the head of workers.
It means tacit knowledge is cognitive knowledge.
It has been proven that such works can also
benefit from the Toyota's principles of the
    production system.

5
Eliminate Waste
  • According to the Taiichi Ohno, there are seven
types of wastes such as overproduction, worker
    motion, over processing, inventory, unnecessary
transportation, waiting, and defects that every
organization strives to eliminate. Knowledge work
sites are full of such types of wastes. The
    knowledge workers underestimate the inefficiency
which can be eliminated from their job.
