How to connect Amazon Alexa with Smart Things?

• The Alexa device is not only a smart speaker, but
  also a device used to monitor your smart home.
  Smart Things work with Amazon Echo, Echo Dot and
  Amazon Tap. By connecting these devices, you can
  now operate lights and bulbs, garage doors,
  refrigerators and other smart device controls
  with your Alexa device. It is important to note
  that your Amazon Echo wi-fi setup is complete
  before starting the process. Here is a quick

Get started

• The Smart Things mobile app needs to be
  downloaded for Android or iOS. An account needs
  to be created and signed in
• The next step would be setting up Amazon Dot,
  Echo or Tap device and download the Alexa mobile
  App

Follow these steps once you open the Alexa App
once your Amazon Echo Wi-Fi settings is done

• Tap the menu button on the top left corner
• Choose the Smart Home option
• Scroll to the bottom to Your Smart Home Skills 
• Enable Smart Home Skills
• Enter Smart Things in the search bar
• Choose enable
• Log in using your Smart Things ID and password
• Log in
• Turn on your location of Smart Things Location in
  the From menu
• Tap AuthorizeNote The devices can be limited.
• You will receive a message on the page Alexa has
  been successfully linked with Smart Things.
• Tap the x button, to shut down the window and
  start discovering devices

• Note You need to connect Echo to Wi-Fi to
  complete these processes.

Discover devices with Amazon Alexa

• Once your Amazon Alexa has got access to Smart
  Things devices and routines, you will now need to
  locate the available devices and routines.

• Go to the Amazon Alexa app. Connect Echo to Wi-fi
  and follow these steps

• After setting up the Smart Things in the previous
  steps, you will be automatically directed to
  discover devices
• You should then Tap Discover Devices
• Wait for device discovery to be completed
•  
• Note Also check if your Amazon Echo Wi-Fi
  setting is operating.

• If you have problem discovering devices, first
  disconnect and connect echo to wi-fi again and
  try
• Tap the menu in the Alexa App
• Go to Smart Home
• Choose Devices
• Choose Add Device
• Wait for device discovery to be completed again

• It can take up to 20 seconds to discover devices
  in the app to Smart Things that you have
  authorized access to. Once the devices are listed
  down, you can choose the particular device and
  automate the settings when you connect echo to
  wifi.

• Your Amazon Alexa set up is now done and ready to
