  • You dont need to walk for miles a day to
    increase the number of footsteps you take, you
    could simply try walking to the local shop or
    café instead of driving, or going for a walk in a
    park. If you have a pet dog, then walking them
    twice a day is the perfect way to get more
    active, or even walking to the water cooler in
    the office instead of rolling your chair over to
    it!

  • While it can be tempting to choose a ride in the
    elevator rather than walking up flights of
    stairs, in doing so youre missing out on a cheap
    and easy way to be more active and get your heart

    destination as is humanly possible, so that you
    dont have to walk far, but once again, in doing

  • Your favourite television programme is on, and
    the house is quiet, so why not watch it while
    incorporating a little exercise into your day?
    Even if youre sitting in the comfort of a chair,
    there are various arm and leg exercises that you
    can do, and a quick online search will reveal
    many armchair work outs. Or if you have an
    exercise bike, simply hop on and cycle away while
    engrossed in whats happening on the screen the
    minutes will hopefully speed by and before you
    even know it, youll have cycled a few kilometres
    before the ad breaks!
