• Many users of QuickBooks want to create a w2 even
  for their former employee in QuickBooks, but they
  dont know that how can they do this in
  QuickBooks online.
• Normally It happens when your former employee has
  left the company before you start using
  QuickBooks Payroll. But you have to include past
  data for the w2 for that employee. This can be
  done only by entering employees prior payroll in
  QuickBooks Online

How to enter prior payroll in QuickBooks Online

• Choose employee from the employee tab.
• Scroll down and click on the Enter prior details.
• Now select yes.
• Then click on Next.
• Now enter YTD totals as of today for the employee
• Then click on next.
• Now enter the YTD totals as of previous quarter.
• And after that click on next
• You have to Start with first page and date of the
  quarter
• Now enter all the details of the employees per
  pay date.
• 9. Now choose to add pay date and then enter the
  company details of each pay date for the quarter.
• 10. Now click gt done.
