The Lake and Peninsula Borough has an area of
32,922 square miles (85,270 km2), of which 23,652
square m3iles (61,260 km2) is land and 9,270
square miles (24,000 km2) (28.2) is water.

The Borough Assembly is comprised of seven
elected officers, including an elected Mayor.
Officials serve staggered three-year terms. The
Borough Assembly hires a Borough Manager to run
the administrative operations.

Professional guide" means a person who contracts
to guide, lead, direct, or accompany others on
hunting, fishing, sightseeing, rafting, camping,
hiking or other recreational trips within the
Borough.

Persons conducting a guiding business within the
the Borough must register for Business License.
Business license registration and fee is due
January 31st of each year or within 30 days of
establishing a new business within the Borough.
