The Computer hardware is a physical component
of a computer which we can feel it and touch.
We can say it is a container of software. Ex
Hard disk drive, CD Rom, Pen drive and Speaker
etc.,
Software is a set of instructions, functions
and programs which makes a computer to execute a
particular task. Ex MS Word, Paint brush
Notepad etc.,

An Operating System is a software which
manages all the Hardware and Software connected
to the computer. Ex DOS, Windows, Unix,
Linux and Ubuntu etc.,

In this O/S we can give instructions or
commands by clicking on graphics or
pictures This type of graphics or pictures are
called ICONS
In this O/S we can give the instructions or
commands through the TEXT (character) only.
The way of giving instruction or command in
this O/S is called SYNTAX
